Evenings of warmth, dignity & welcome

Come inside!
A table is set for you.

Hearthside Gathering is an evening community space offering freshly cooked meals, hygiene supplies, and the quiet companionship of neighbors who care. No paperwork. No questions. Just a warm chair, a hot plate, and people who are glad you came.

our goal is to be available every evening
A warm lantern glowing in the evening

Our Story

Built on the simple idea that everyone deserves an evening with dignity.

We saw a need for services in the evening — the quiet gap between when daytime programs close their doors and overnight shelters open theirs. In those hours, our homeless neighbors are too often left without somewhere safe to land. Hearthside exists to close that gap, so people can have their needs met at every hour of the day.

We're currently working on opening a dedicated space — a steady, evening refuge where members of the homeless community can find safety, warmth, and real support. A place to eat a freshly cooked meal, pick up hygiene supplies, sit in good company, and be treated with the dignity every person deserves.

with love, the Hearthside team

What We Offer

Three things, given freely, every evening we're open.

A freshly cooked meal

Freshly cooked meals

A real meal, made with care — the kind of food that says you matter, you're welcome here, pull up a seat and stay awhile.

Hygiene supplies

Soap, toothbrushes, razors, socks, warm hats. The small things that quietly restore dignity.

Hands sharing food in community

Community support

Conversation, connection, & a steady welcome.

Our vision & the road ahead

We're building a place where
every evening means belonging.

Hearthside Gathering exists to create lasting, evening-by-evening impact for the unhoused members of our community. The plan is simple, the work is steady, and the goal is unmistakable: warmth, food, dignity, and belonging — every single night the lantern is lit.

Step one

Serve freshly cooked meals every evening

We will prepare and serve nourishing meals to every guest, so they can sit down to a real meal at the end of the day.

Step two

Distribute hygiene kits, freely

Soap, toothbrushes, fresh socks, warm hats, period products, towels — the small essentials that restore dignity, given without forms or questions.

Step three

Build real community support

Conversation, connection, and a steady weekly rhythm. People who know your name and are glad you came. Pathways to local services.

Step four

Grow with the people we serve

Listen first. Adapt to what our neighbors actually need. Add hours, services, and partnerships as the community shapes us into what it needs us to be.

Lend a hand

Cook, serve, listen, be here.

Volunteers are the quiet engine of every evening. Some help us cook. Some help us clean. Some just bring themselves and a willingness to sit with a stranger.

Whatever you can offer — an evening a week, an hour a month — we'll find a place for you at the table.

come as you are.

Stay close

Join the community circle.

A quiet monthly note: stories from the evenings, what's needed in the pantry, and how to help. No noise. No selling. Just news from the hearth.
